While visiting another brewery in Northern California, the merit of Summit hops came up; earthy, pungent and high in alpha-acids. They were best summed up by a brewer who exclaimed “I love those hops. They smell just like a dirty hippie!” We brewed this Imperial Red Ale as a tribute to Summit hops and packed in just enough crystal malt to balance out the 92 IBUs so it won’t harsh your mellow. Don’t bogart this one, Dirty Hippie is best enjoyed fresh; pass it around and share the experience
